Fish ‘n’ veggies ‘n’ chips

Hope all’s well.

I know, I know, its been while.

Truth is, we have been up to a lot. The only issue is, we have been ultra lazy to actually sit down to post.

 

Soooooo, today we bring you an other easy peesy recipe.

Fish and chips!

fantastically delicious and easy!

Lets get right to it!

So, here’s what:

Simple, huh?!

1 kg of Fish fillets (Dory), 1 cup of flour, salt, 2 eggs, and 1 cup of root beer.

Plus the oil you want to fry the fish in!

 

Here’s how:

In a large bowl, separate the egg whites of two eggs.

Now BEAT IT!

Keep going, till it turns white, and looks firm.

Now your talking!

Firm enough for you to flip the bowl upside down and nothing will happen!

Moving on…

In a different bowl.

Put in one cup of flour

Put in one cup of root beer, or any carbonated drink to your taste.

Mix, and don’t panic if it doesn’t look good.

Now fold in the egg whites.

Don’t be scared, fold it in. Stop crying and saying it looks like its not gonna work out.

See, I told you it’ll be fine!

Bring your fish.

Salt it up.

Heat up your oil.

To know when it is ready, place in a small piece of bread, if it floats and bubbles, it’s ready!

Now dip your fish into the mixture!

Make sure you get it all covered up.

Time to fry it!

Slowly place the fish in.

Make sure to flip it over when one side is done.

Wait for it to get the beautiful golden brown tint.

For the side:

Take a bag of frozen veggies, place them into a pan onto the stove top.

Add in some olive oil, my best friend.

My favorite seasoning, Lemon Pepper. mmmmmm.

Now just mix.

For the ‘chips’ I was too lazy to actually make my own. So I just got a bag of fries and put them into the oven.

Sorry I’m not too exciting.

It is extremely delicious, crispy exterior with a soft interior.

You have to try this one out for your self.

Recipe:

(The fish recipe is from Jamie Oliver, food network, you can find it here)

Ingredients:

 –   1 Kg of fish fillets, dory.

–   2 Eggs, (you will only need the whites)

–   1 Cup of flour

–   1 Cup of root beer, or any carbonated drink

–   Salt to taste.

Here’s How:

– Beat the egg whites of 2 eggs in a large bowl, until it is white and very firm.

– In a different bowl, place in one cup of flour.

– Add in the one cup of root beer.

– mix till well blended.

– fold in the egg whites.

– The batter is ready to be used.

– Heat up your oil.

– Coat your fish with the batter.

– Once oil is ready, place in your coated fish.

– fry each side till it reaches a golden brown color.

– Now its ready to serve! ENJOY!
